01 The Challenge

A premium identity apparel brand built on a single insight: how you present yourself is how the world responds.


OGYN arrived with a thesis but no system. The product was real. The market was clear. What didn't exist yet was the language, the visual register, or the launch architecture to make the brand read as the premium statement Reco intended it to be.

Most identity apparel brands in this category are louder than they are precise. OGYN had to be the opposite: a brand that holds its register without raising its voice. Something a founder, an athlete, or a CEO could wear in any room and have it work. OGYN should look earned.

02 Scope of the Engagement

Brand strategy, identity, copy, and the full launch infrastructure — built in 90 days.


  • Positioning & strategy. The OG Effect™ framework — the core brand insight, translated into a tested positioning, audience definition, and the line of argument the entire brand sits on.
  • Identity system. Wordmark, type system (Helvetica Bold display, Times New Roman editorial italic, Helvetica Light body), color anchors, logo standards, applied use cases.
  • Voice & copy. Editorial voice, product copy, launch sequence, the language of the pre-launch list. Proprietary phrases and approved taglines documented.

03 The Approach

A premium apparel brand built like a publication, not a drop.


Most apparel brands compete on graphics. OGYN was built to compete on register. That changes every decision: the typography becomes editorial, the color holds restraint, the language reads like writing rather than marketing, and the website is built as the brand's primary surface — not a checkout funnel.

The 10-section brand book documents the system top to bottom, so future seasons can iterate inside the rules without rebuilding them. The Shopify build was custom-templated to match — no off-the-shelf theme — with performance and accessibility hardened from day one.

Color anchors: Black #0A0A0A dominates. Bone White #F5F0E8 for contrast and premium packaging. Washed Grey, Military Grey for vintage and utilitarian expressions. Metallic Gold #B8963E reserved for premium accents only.
